Bakery assistant • Chowan County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Chowan County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy bakery. Requirements: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • 2+ years' experience as a baker The role involves boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
