Now hiring: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Adams County, Indiana. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day to day you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
