Shakeout operator wanted in Burleson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Burleson County, Texas. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
