Counter butcher — Grant County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counter butcher in Grant County, Oregon. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. On a typical shift you will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
