Horizontal milling machine operator — Avery County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Avery County, North Carolina. The job is in a CNC machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work On a typical shift you will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
