Great opportunity: argon welding operator (West Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Jefferson County, West Virginia. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
