Abattoir worker — Lee County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Lee County, North Carolina. The job is at a halal meat counter. Your main tasks: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Full-time with occasional weekends.
