Powder coating operator — Elkhart County

Now hiring: we are hiring a powder coating operator in Elkhart County, Indiana. You will work at a powder coating unit. You should have: • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes • Keen eye for finish quality and surface defects Your main tasks: • Inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches • Sieve and load powder into the spray gun hopper • Run colour changeovers and clean the booth between batches • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Reclaim and sieve overspray powder for reuse • Record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $19 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
