Die-casting operator — Sherman County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Sherman County, Nebraska. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Six days a week, one day off.
