Vacuum press operator — Lancaster County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Lancaster County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 5+ years on the tools preferred.
