Lifting rigger — Phelps County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Phelps County, Nebraska. Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
