Semi-automatic welder — Yuba County

Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Yuba County, California. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Six days a week, one day off. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
