Lifting rigger — Grundy County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Grundy County, Iowa. The job is at a shipyard. You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Six days a week, one day off.
