CO2 welder • Bexar County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Bexar County, Texas. You will work on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day-to-day duties: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
