Argon welding operator wanted in Wolverhampton

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Wolverhampton, England. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Your main tasks: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Full-time, day shift.
