Shakeout operator — Clay County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Clay County, Kansas. You will be based on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
