We are recruiting: we are hiring a head baker in Darlington, England. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. The role involves rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. What we are looking for: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • 2+ years' experience as a baker At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
