Brick and block layer — Darlington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Darlington County, South Carolina. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
