Site carpenter — Cumbria

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site carpenter in Cumbria, England. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. The role involves cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring. What we are looking for: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
