Bakery assistant — Colfax County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Colfax County, New Mexico. You will be based at a cake shop. Requirements: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Day-to-day duties: • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits.
