Immediate opening: stitching operator (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stitching operator in Buchanan County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Six days a week, one day off.
