Semi-automatic welder — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Jackson County, Oklahoma. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Part-time with flexible hours. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
