You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish.
