The role involves operate the boom barrier and check vehicles in and out; detain shoplifters or trespassers and hand them over to police; hand over the duty register and brief the next shift at handover; keep watch on the perimeter fence and parking area; operate the metal detector and hand-held scanner at the door; patrol the premises on foot at fixed intervals.
