On a typical shift you will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads.
