Lathe operator • New York County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in New York County, New York. Your main tasks: • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges Ideal candidate: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
