Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Somerset County, Maine. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Part-time with flexible hours.
