Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Jefferson County, Oklahoma. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Your main tasks: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Season and marinate meat on request • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking Pay around $140 per day, based on your experience.
