Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Douglas County, South Dakota. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
