Your main tasks: • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray You should have: • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines Full-time with occasional weekends.
