Concrete placer — Covington County

Join our team: we are hiring a concrete placer in Covington County, Alabama. You will be based on a building construction site. Day to day you will screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Part-time with flexible hours. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
