Ladle pourer • Juniata County, Pennsylvania

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time, day shift. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
