Join our team: we are hiring a VMC operator in Buchanan County, Iowa. You will be based at an automotive components factory. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day to day you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
