Now hiring: crane operator (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane operator in Athens County, Ohio. You will work on a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Strong attention to safety and load limits Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
