Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Denver County, Colorado. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
