Trainee butcher — Columbia County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Columbia County, Washington. The role involves: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Season and marinate meat on request What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
