Furnace operator — Clark County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Clark County, Washington. The job is on the moulding line. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
