Immediate opening: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Lee County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
