Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Lander County, Nevada. Day to day you will operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. You should have: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems Six days a week, one day off.
