Crane rigger — Branch County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane rigger in Branch County, Michigan. You will be based at a container port. Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
