Gtaw welder — Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Wayne County, Georgia. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 2+ years on the tools preferred. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
