Fettler — Raleigh County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Raleigh County, West Virginia. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 2+ years on the tools preferred.
