Sand plant operator — Buffalo County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Full-time with occasional weekends.
