Now hiring: single needle operator (Tennessee)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a single needle operator in Macon County, Tennessee. You will work at a busy garment factory. The role involves thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
