Overlocker operator — Lawrence County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Lawrence County, South Dakota. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. On a typical shift you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Rotating shifts.
