Semi-automatic welder — Fulton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Fulton County, Illinois. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Performance bonus on top of base pay.
