Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Calhoun County, Alabama. Day to day you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
