Day-to-day duties: • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting You should have: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses 5+ years on the tools preferred. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
