Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Denali Borough, Alaska. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery The role involves machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
