Groundsman — Floyd County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundsman in Floyd County, Indiana. You will be based in a botanical garden. What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Day to day you will maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $32 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
